Data Controller

The controller for the processing of personal data in connection with this website and the Chopz service is Firntec GmbH, Fabrikstrasse 32, 3900 Gamsen, Switzerland, info@firntec.ch.

Applicable Law

Processing is governed by the Swiss Data Protection Act (nFADP). For users in the European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies in addition.

Data Processing on this Website

This website processes only the data you actively provide to us by e-mail. No cookies are set and no analytics are used. For operational security, technical access data (server logs) may be stored on the server side for a limited time.

Data Processing within the Chopz Service

Within the service, we process the contact data of salon operators as well as booking data of end customers (name, phone number, appointment, requested service). This data is processed in order to provide the service. In relation to the salon operators, Firntec acts as a processor with regard to the end-customer data under the nFADP (and as a processor within the meaning of the GDPR). The respective salon remains the controller for the end-customer data.

WhatsApp Communication

Chopz uses the WhatsApp Business Cloud API for communication with end customers. In this process, messages and associated metadata are transmitted to Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and, within the group, to Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA. Meta is independently responsible under data protection law for its own processing of this data. The legal basis for the transfer to the USA is the Standard Contractual Clauses.

Disclosure to Third Parties

Personal data is not disclosed to any further third parties, unless this is necessary to provide the service or we are legally required to do so.

Retention Period

Personal data is retained only for as long as it is required for the stated purposes or due to statutory retention obligations, and is deleted thereafter.

Rights of Data Subjects

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, and restriction of the processing of your personal data. For users in the European Economic Area, the right to data portability and the right to object to processing additionally apply. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in Switzerland, the FDPIC; in the EEA, the relevant national authority).

We may amend this Privacy Policy. The version published on this page shall apply.
